[Roman Provincial]. Lot of two Æ. Includes: Syria, Commagene. Samosata. Elagabalus. A.D. 218-222. Æ (32 mm, 21.12 g, 6 h). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus right / Tyche seated left on rocky outcropping, holding grain ears; at feet, Pegasos leaping left. Butcher 29; cf. SNG Hunterian 2607 (bust). VF, green patina with earthen deposits, reverse slightly double struck // Syria, Coele-Syria. Damascus. Pseudo-autonomous issue. 1st century A.D. Æ (17 mm, 4.45 g, 12 h). Civic year 377 (A.D. 65/6). Male head (Herakles?) left / Cornucopiae left, between cista and two grain ears. RPC 4805; Rosenberger 1; BMC 1. VF, desert green patina. Very rare - RPC lists only three specimens. LOT SOLD AS-IS, RETURNS NOT PERMITTED.
