Vespasian. A.D. 69-79. Æ dupondius (27 mm, 12.07 g, 7 h). Jewish War type. Lugdunum, A.D. 72. IMP CAESAR VESPASIAN AVG COS IIII, laureate head of Vespasian right, globe at point of bust / PAX AVG, S C across field, Pax standing facing, head left, holding patera over lighted altar at feet to left and caduceus and branch. RIC 1191; Lyon 68. Attractive dusty green patina. Good very fine.
