Description
England. George III. 1760-1820. AR shilling (26 mm, 6.03 g, 12 h). 1787. Laureate, draped and armored bust right; no stop over head / Cruciform coat-of-arms, with star of the Garter at center and crowns in quarters; no hearts. ESC 1218; SCBC 3744. Much scarcer than the variety with a stop over George's head. Attractively toned, lustrous. Nearly extremely fine.
