Roman Empire - Gordianus III Pius (238-244 AD). Bronze sestertius. Minted in Rome (Roma), 240 AD. VIRTVS AVG / S-C. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. VIRTVS AVG / S-C, Virtus, helmeted, in military dress, standing front, head turned left, holding branch and spear; shield rests against right foot. RIC IV, p. 45, 273a; C. 384. 23,78 g, 31 mm. Good very fine condition in high grade. Beautiful brown toning. Please take a look to the cleaning process results: the coin before the cleaning have a green original patina and oxidations.
