Description
Faustina I. Augusta, A.D. 138-140/1. Æ sestertius (34 mm, 27.07 g, 12 h). Rome, under Antoninus Pius, ca. A.D. 138-141. FAVSTINA AVG ANTONINI AVG PII P P, diademed and draped bust of Faustina I right / [CONC]OR-DIA AVG, S C across field, Concordia standing facing, head left, leaning on column, holding patera and double cornucopiae. RIC 1076. Brown patina. Cleaning scratches in obverse field, some smoothing, deposits, reverse rough. An interesting overstrike (IVNO is clearly visible on the reverse). Very fine.
