Andronicus II and Andronicus III. 1325-1334. AV hyperpyron (21 mm, 3.11 g, 6 h). Constantinople, 1325-1328. Half-length figure of the Virgin Mary, orans, within city walls with four towers; sigla: B | K / Christ standing facing, blessing Andronicus II and Michael IX kneeling to either side. DOC 498-9; SB 2461. Toned. Very fine.
