Roman Empire Philip I the Arab (244–249 A.D.). bronze sestertius (19.60 g. 29 mm.) Rome, 244-247 A.D. Obv. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. Rev. AEQVITAS AVGG / S - C, Aequitas standing left, holding cornucopiae and scales. RIC IV, 3, p. 89, 166a. Extremely fine condition. Brown original patina. Superb portrait.
