Description
ANTIQUITIES, A fine zoomorphic tripod bowl from Costa Rica, ca. 100 BC Ð 500 AD. This El Bosque example is 5Ó in diameter and stands on a trio of hollow legs containing rattles, with an animal head protruding from the side. The red slip is highly burnished and shows strong mineral deposits. Intact, with some gnaw marks on the rim.
