Description
Parthian Kingdom. Gotarzes II. Ca. A.D. 40-51. BI tetradrachm (27 mm, 12 h). Seleukeia on the Tigris, S.E. 362 (A.D. 50/1). Diademed and draped bust of Gotarzes II left / King seated right, receiving wreath from Nike standing left, holding cornucopiae; above, date (BΞΤ), month off flan. Sellwood 65.28-32; cf. Shore 363. In an NGC slab without grade. Lightly toned. Graffiti in obverse field. Good very fine.
