Syria, Seleucis and Pieria. Antiochia ad Orontem. Q. Caecilius Bassus. Proconsul, 46-44 B.C. AR tetradrachm (26 mm, 15.51 g, 1 h). Posthumous Philip I Philadelphos type. Year 4 Caesarean Era (46/5 B.C.) Diademed head of Philip I Philadelphos right / [B]AΣIΛE[ΩΣ] ΦΙΛΙΠΠO[Υ] EΠΙΦANOΥΣ [ΦI]ΛΑΔΕΛΦ[OΥ], Zeus seated left, holding Nike and scepter; in inner left field, AYTONOMOY monogram; below throne, fixed monogram; in exergue, Δ on a pair of wings. McAlee 5a; Prieur 5; HCRI 845; RPC 4128. Extremely fine.
