Egypt, Alexandria. Trajan. A.D. 98-117. BI tetradrachm (24 mm, 12.70 g, 12 h). RY 15 (A.D. 112/3). AVT TPAIAN C-ЄB ΓЄPM ΔΑΚΙΚ, laureate head of Trajan right / Nilus seated left on rocky outcrop, holding reed and cornucopiae; elbow resting on back of hippopotamus standing right; in left field, upright reed; across field, date (L I-Є). Köln 575; Dattari (Savio) 681; Kampmann & Ganschow 27.375; Milne 632; Emmett 388. Seemingly rare - no examples on any of the online databases. Choice very fine.
