ILKHANS of PERSIA, Uljaitu aka Khodabandeh Mohamad. AR Dirhem (4.12 gm; 27 mm). mint "KASHAN" at 5 o'clock, year 711. Rare mint. reverse, Shia Kalima with Ali Valiallah at the end, names of three Rashedoon khalifs with Abu Bakr (left), Othman (right), Umar (bottom) and Allah on the top, and names of 12 Shia imams on the outer rim of the coin. Superb strike and important coin in the history of rise of Shia branch of Islam in Persia. Lovely strike on a nice broad flan. Choice EF. Lightly toned.
