TABERISTAN. HANI ibn HANI, 164–168 AH (787-790 AD). AR Hemidrachm (1.58 gm; 24 mm). Contemporary of Abbasid Khalif Al-Mahdi), Obverse, Sasanian style bust to the right, name “Hani” written in Kufic/Arabic in front of face, reverse, fire altar with attendants, mint to the right “TPURSTN” and year 135 to the left. Lovely strike. Choice FDC. Fully lustrous. Scarce.
