ROMAN EMPIRE. Severus Alexander. 222-235 AD. AR Denarius (3.05 gm; 22 mm). Struck in Rome, 232-5 AD. IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / SPES PVBLICA, Spes walking left, holding flower and raising skirt. BM 896; RSC 543; RIC 254. Lovely strike on nice broad medallic flan. Fully centered. Choice EF. Lightly toned with some luster.
