ROMAN EMPIRE. Maximinus I Thrax; 235-238 AD. AR Denarius (2.93 gm; 19 mm). Struck in Rome, 235-6 AD. Obv: IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG Bust laureate, draped, cuirassed, with transitional second to third portrait. Rx: PROVIDE - NTIA AVG Providentia standing left holding wand over globe and cornucopia. RIC 13(c); RSC 77; BM 88. Lovely strike on a nice full flan. Choice FDC. Fully lustrous.
