ROMAN EMPIRE. Philip I, the Arab. 242-249 AD. Æ Sestertius (22.17 gm; 30 mm). Struck in Rome. Obv: IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev: VICTORIA AVG / S-C. Victory walking right with wreath and palm branch. RIC 191a; RSC 228. Sharply struck on a nice full flan. Brown reddish and green patina. Choice EF. Great example for the issue.
