Description
ISLAMIC DYNASTS. Abbasid, Khalif Al-Mahdi. AH 296-317 (AD 908-929). Æ (2.37 gm; 16 mm). Obverse, Shahadah, reverse, Al-Kahlifah Mahdi Mohammad Amiral-mo’menin, in 4 line, name “Rabi’”(Possible Governor) in the fifth line. Year 167, mint or phrase in place of mint seems to read “bar-rhm”(Unknown). Red patina. Choice Superb EF. Great example for the issue.
