ISLAMIC DYNASTS. Abbasids- Mutawakkil (847-861 AD, 232-247 AH), Æ (2.28 gm; 22 mm). Obverse, Shahadah with the name of Khalif at bottom in mirror image, an mention of his first year of reign “Sanah Al-Ahadi”, year seems to be 231 since most of the text badly deteriorated. Well struck on a broad flan. Nice original find patina. Choice EF. Rare.
