Description
THRACE, Callatis. Brutus, Civil War. 44-42 BC. Gold Stater (8.20 gm; 19 mm). In the name of Lysimachus. obv. diademed head of Alexander the Great to right, wearing horn of Ammon, rev. Athena enthroned to left, holding Nike and resting left arm on shield, transverse spear resting against right side. Lovely strike on a nice flan. Rust free(they almost always come with a die rust). Choice Superb EF with some luster. Nice example for the issue.
