Description
KINGS of PARTHIA; Gotarzes II. Circa AD 44-51. AR Tetradrachm (13.92 gm; 26 mm). Minted at Seleucia on the Tigris. Dated SE 358(46 AD). Diademed bust left / Gotarzes seated right, receiving wreath from Tyche standing left, holding cornucopia; (year) above. Sellwood 65.10; Shore 361; Sunrise 416. Ex. Fred Shore's, purchased in the late 1990s. Lovely strike on a nice broad flan. Choice EF. Original find patina.
