ROMAN EMPIRE. Vespasian. 69-79 AD. AR Denarius (3.46 gm; 20 mm). Rome mint. Struck 73 AD. Laureate head right / Vespasian seated right, holding sceptre and olive-branch. RIC II 65; BMCRE 98; RSC 387. Sharply struck on a nice broad flan. Choice AU. Nice old-cabinet toning. Lovely example.
