KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III, 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.22 gm; 25 mm). Babylon mint. Lifetime issue, struck circa 325-323 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / AΛEΞANΔΡOΥ, Zeus seated left, holding eagle and sceptre; star and M monogram in left field, monogram under throne. Price 3630; Troxell, Macedon, Group D, 5; cf. Müller 154. Well struck on a nice full flan. Choice EF. Lightly toned.
