MACEDONIA, Neapolis. circa 525-450 BC. AR Stater (9.47 gm; 17 mm). NGC-AU. Gorgon head facing with protruding tongue / Incuse square of mill-sail pattern. SNG ANS 419; SNG Copenhagen 223. Well struck on a nice broad flan. Minor porosity (as is usual with this issue). NGC-AU (Strike 5/2; Surface 2/5). Certificate # 8558171-002. Toned.
